Run for Voices: Country #20 — Prague, Czech Republic 🇨🇿

50K through the heart of Prague, and 1,000 km into the challenge

On 3 October 2026, Run for Voices reached one of its biggest milestones so far: country number 20 out of 50.

I started the morning in the centre of Prague, with 50 kilometres ahead of me and a simple goal: keep moving until I reached the finish.

The route took me out of the city and all the way up towards a cliff before heading towards Břevnov. And then something completely unexpected happened.

I randomly found myself alongside a 5K race.

Instead of simply running past, I started cheering for complete strangers. Encouraging people, making them laugh and giving them that little push when they needed it.

I wasn’t racing.

I wasn’t even part of the event.

But seeing people respond to a few words of encouragement made me genuinely proud. It was a reminder that running isn’t always about your own finish line. Sometimes you can make someone else’s run a little easier too.

After that, I continued through Prague, passing some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including Prague Castle and Charles Bridge, while taking in the incredible streets and architecture along the way.

But the kilometres kept adding up.

By the final stages, the run became seriously challenging. Pain all over the place, tired legs and a body that was ready to stop.

But we kept going.

I eventually completed the 50K near Prague’s famous riverside, bringing country number 20 to an end.

And this one meant more than just another country ticked off.

20 countries × 50 kilometres = 1,000 kilometres.

I’ve now officially run 1,000 km across 20 countries for Run for Voices.

When I started this challenge, I knew 50 countries would be difficult.

I didn’t realise just how much it would take to get to 1,000 km.

30 countries left.

And we’re not stopping here.
